"But CJ, this is your sixth official PSN trophy account! Why are you doing this to your fans and yourself, torturing us with yet another trophy blog?!?"
Well, new viewers, to answer your question, I have to figuratively do some brain surgery and reveal an ugly ugly part of myself... :(
No, not THAT part! Sheesh! (I really hate my looks. No woman wants to get laid with a guy with that sort of ugly mug. XD)
I'm talking about THIS...
Meet the OCD Monster. If you are a fan of The Completionist, you can guess that he and I share a desire to see everything through to the end no matter what it takes. Unlike him, though, I also have ADHD, which means that I have trouble keeping my eye on a game for very long, especially if it turns out to be a grind or unfun. That means I cannot play any game I cannot platinum, which is a lot of games I have played.
This new account is going to cage that beast so I can continue earning trophies for fun on my current account knowing that I have an account squirreled away where I can track my trophies and have 100% trophy completion. The reason for this is because I have just started streaming some games that I regret ever playing. That is not to say I am abandoning my current account, MidnightCJ will still be a viable account where I earn trophies on it. I am just going to stop worrying about the OCD Monster.
The rules are simple:
(1) All of the games on this new account are only those I can easily platinum and had some fun with. You probably won't see games like Little Acre, Deponia or whatnot on there even though I can easily get the platinum there.
(2) I am not going to play a game just for a trophy on this account. I have a dreadful game I will never get 100% on in MidnightCJ's account because I had to get a trophy starting with the letter X. In hindsight, I should have just failed the Alphabet Challenge instead of going with everyone else. This account won't allow that sort of BullSocky on it. If the game has trophies that frustrate me on my other account, it won't ever see the light of day here. Same thing if the game has glitched trophies or gameplay, it is not going on the OCD account.
(3) I am not abandoning my current account. I just need a place to go to have a quick platinum trophy just to keep me sane. I will continue to earn trophies on my current account and the new account.
I assure everyone this is the last PSN account I will ever have. This blog is where I will post updates to the games I platinum on this account.
