Flak (Platinums #61-70)

So I am getting a lot of flak from people I won't name at a forum I won't name saying I am insane. Well, it's because I wanted to create a side account and nobody likes me for doing so. So what if I have to play the same games over again? The problem is I don't have $1000 to spend on games and then toss them after I get the platinum. And anyways, I ended up with stinkers like Portal Knights on my trophy list. What was I thinking?!? Never again. I wish I could delete Portal Knights off of my library, but I cannot because I bought the game. I wonder if deleting my accounts deletes those games off of my library...

Regardless, here are the latest set of platinums I have earned:

Unfortunately, I couldn't handle the DLC for Shantae. :(

Platinums #51-59

Okay, so I need to let you know the games I knocked out between the #50 plat and #60 plat, so here is a quick run down: (No images, though, as I'd have to upload them from URLs.)

1. Jak 3: Used the Debug Mode to cheat the platinum. I had done this with Jak 2 but it took longer here because you have to do a little grinding.
2. The Little Acre: Finally got around to getting this on the cabinet. I did it because it's quick, simple and the only trophy-killers were a couple of time-sensitive trophies which aren't really that hard if you are quick on the draw.
3. Virginia: A really bare-bones walking simulator. I had to play the game twice because there is a trophy for doing so. The story was... weird, to say the least.
4. Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas: Finally got this game on my cabinet. The Ghost Fish was a pain to catch but I accomplished it. I am never touching this game again(except maybe the Vita version if I need an easy platinum, not touching this on my Switch).
5. forma.8: What possessed me to do this game? It was cheap and I found it to be sort of easy but I did get killed a lot on bosses. It's a metroid-like game where you move in all four directions.
6. Zeus Quest Remastered: Play as the King of the Grecian Gods during the time he carried Europe away to Crete to have sex with her and propagate King Minos! With 100% more sci-fi! Yeaaaaaah, this point and click was all kinds of stupid, but that's why people buy these things. It was not cheap but at least I don't have to worry about my Z game for the Platinum Alphabet. *coughcoughZotrixsuckscoughcough*
7. Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch: I finally got the platinum for this game before my PS Now account expired. Now I can play Ni no Kuni 2 without regrets. :) **** Scrolls of Truth.
8. Teslagrad: Found out that the platinum isn't duplicable, it's one of those one-list-for-all games, which meant I now have the Vita version on my Download Library forever, never to be played. At least I got through the puzzles a bit easier than the last time, but still... :(
9. LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4: From the PS4 Legacy Collection. This game was okay, but it still had technical issues that ticked me off.

Platinum #60!!!!

Yes! Platinum #60!

This game was one of my favorite games when it was created on the Super Nintendo in the late 90's, and the remake, at the least, is a love letter to that game. The Secret of Mana remake is beautiful and unlike the other who've played it, I didn't hang myself when I heard the voices. To be fair, I turned the voice over volume to 0% for 99% of the game and turned it back on at the final battles.

Meet Maka91. After StayPationt went off of Youtube forever, I was reluctant to play any more games, but then this guy showed up with some very good commentated trophy guides for several games and I was able to boost my platinum count with his help. However, the caveat is that the games he does guides for are not exclusive, because he plays them on the XBOX One but the games achievements lists for XBOX are 100% copied from the PS4 trophy list so you'll get a platinum or 100% if you follow the guide. Here are the games he has guides for:

Not Your Usual Post

I'm through with the BINGO cards. If I decide to do any more BINGO games, I won't tell anyone about them, it'll be my secret challenge. Anyways, I don't think I'll add more games to my backlog as I just blew the money I was going to spend on pre-ordering Ni No Kuni 2 on Splatoon 2. I couldn't help it, I need a palette cleanser after a hard day of trying to catch Ghost Fish. :(

Anyways, I'll try to update my trophy cabinet blog here in a day or two, I have so much I have to crop and add.

Triple FAIL

Yep, my second Bingo challenge was my first EPIC PHAIL. I gave up like a coward. This is mostly because I'm sick. AGAIN. I should have listened to my mommy and not gone to fetch my mail wearing shorts in bad weather. X_X As such, I am enervated and cannot focus too hard on gaming.

I also had a lot of problems with some of the trophies, so for my next challenge, I am going to do a few things:

1. Put Catlateral Damage and Portal Knights in the Fail Closet for now. Portal Knights... I can see why only 0.2% of those who touched it went all the way for the platinum; THIS GAME IS HARD AS STEEL. Trying to unlock ten more lands is much harder now that I have defeated the first boss and entered the land of Yellow Portals, which take 18 Portal pieces to open. And with everything three-shotting me, it's not going to be easy to farm those portal pieces. :( The other game... well, I still have 17 more Objective levels to complete, 5 mice to catch, and a lot of pain and suffering ahead of me. I want to limit the number of button-mashers for the time being, so please bear with me. These games will come back, but not in the BINGO challenge.
2. Put more pressure on Oceanhorn, Dragon Quest Builders and the Sly collection. The sooner those easier games earn their platinums and are out of the door, the sooner I can focus on my March lineup, which is going to bigg'un. :)
3. Start up my third 100%er non-plat. It's a big longer than the last three titles so I need to get started before my 40th platinum is earned.

On the plus side, this Bingo fail allowed me to finally push forward and platinum Buff Knight Advanced so you'll never see its trophies again. ^_^
